Ouran High School Host Club to be made into movie set to show March of next year
The TBS drama “Ouran High School Host Club” that actress Kawaguchi Haruna stars in will be made into a movie. It was announced on the 25th at a fan meeting event. It is set to be in theatres next March. It will continue where the drama left off. Kawaguchi who plays Haruhi commented “It will be my first movie so I will put all my effort in this and if I can show off a differet side of me not seen in the drama. I will try my best in the filming that is set to start soon.”
This is a popular manga that was originally published in “LaLa” by Hattori Bisco. Set in a super rich private school, Haruhi and the handsome “host club” members draws many aspect of campus life in a romantic comedy kind of way. Host club president Suoh Tamaki’s Yamamoto Yusuke commented “I tried to hold back during the drama to about 60% but I will bring out annoying (“uzai”) Tamaki by 120% for the movie.” Host Club vice president Ootori Kyoya played by Daito Shunsuke said “With love I will show more power than before. I hope I can make the time feel like a dream.”
This day, about 100 fans were invited onto the set to join in “Ouran High School Host Club’s Summer Party”. Kawaguchi, Yamamoto, Daito, Nekozawa Umehito played by Ryusei Ryo, Haninozuka Mitsukuni played by Chiba Yudai, Morinozuka Takashi played by Nakamura Masaya, Hitachiin Hikaru played by Takagi Shinpei and Hitachiin Kaoru played by Takagi Manpei all showed up. There was a cast talk show and presents were given out through a lottery draw.
The movie version is being released through Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) It will be the first time that SPE will be releasing a movie that came from a drama.
